Bungo Stray Dogs season 5 episode 4 release schedule

Two weeks prior to the Decay of Angels attack, Dazai had secretly met with Akutagawa, enlisting him as his eyes during the upcoming battle, but without any interference. However, when he saw a smoke signal, Dazai seized the opportunity to enter Atsushi's fight. He swiftly attacked Fukuchi, disabling the ship's engine. Dazai's choice of Akutagawa was based on the latter's strength against the formidable Devil, enabling Tenma Tengai against Fukuchi's metal rod. Despite his agility, Akutagawa remained outmatched in the intense confrontation.

As they escaped to a lower basement of the ship, Atsushi learned Dazai's strategy to kill Fukuchi. Dazai transferred his Kokko Zessou ability to Atsushi, granting deadly claws. They tried to lure Fukuchi underwater, but he proved his battle experience by effortlessly countering their moves. Fukuchi wielded a mythical katana that transcended space-time, stabbing Akutagawa and Atsushi. Despite the grave injuries, they refused to surrender. Recognizing Akutagawa's potential, Fukuchi offered him to escape.

Faced with a tempting offer from Fukuchi to become his student if he killed Atsushi, Akutagawa deceived him and launched a surprise attack. Atsushi swiftly used Kokko Zessou to kill Fukuchi. However, Fukuchi revealed a deadly trump card - the space-time sword Amenogozen. He altered the present by cutting off Atsushi's arm in the past. At the end of the episode, Akutagawa fought back with a smokescreen but fell to Fukuchi's swift beheading.
