Bleach had never been a series that ever showcased a major death or did any serious harm to its prominent characters. However, Bleach: TYBW seems to have changed that. In the first part of Bleach: TYBW, fans had to encounter the deaths of Captain Genryusai Yamamoto and Chojiro Sasakibe, and now in the previous episode, we saw Captain Sajin Komamura in a heart-wrenching state. Although he's not dead, Sajin has lost all of his powers, making him now just a mere wolf.

During the intense battle between the Shinigami and the Quincy, Candice Catnipp's wings unexpectedly appeared, while Bambietta Basterbine activated her powerful Quincy: Vollstandig. The explosive confrontation left Shinji Hirako wounded, but Sajin Komamura stepped in to face Bambietta. Momo Hinamori joined the fray, attempting to attack with her Shikai, only to be thwarted by Bambietta's deadly Reishi projectiles. As the battle continued, Komamura's true human form was revealed, taking us back to his past encounter with his clan's elder.

In the past, Komamura learned about his clan's secret technique, the Humanization Technique, which allowed them to temporarily return to their human forms and gain immense power. To achieve this, he sacrificed his heart, motivated by his debt to the late Captain Yamamoto. In the present, Komamura activated his powerful Bankai, also making him immune to Bambietta's explosive attacks. As their intense battle unfolded, Komamura revealed that he had become temporarily immortal by giving up his heart. Bambietta tried to escape, but Kokujo Tengen Myo'o relentlessly pursued her, ready to deliver a crushing blow.

Sajin defeated Bambietta and tried to confront Yhwach, fueled by his strong revenge. However, Komamura was completely worn out, and he transformed into a wolf-like beast, and Iba took him away with him. Meanwhile, other battles unfolded as Shunsui and Nanao confronted Haschwalth. Elsewhere, Mask De Masculine rose again to fight Kensei and Rose, and Ichigo underwent a transformative experience as he faced the power of the Soul King.
