The hype around One Piece is currently at its peak, and for a very good reason. Joy Boy has returned, marking the awakening of Luffy's Gear 5. Although the previous episode only gave us a glimpse of his return at the end of the episode, the new episode is expected to give a good look at him, and maybe even reveal why Joy Boy was considered a legend.

Nonetheless, One Piece fans are eagerly awaiting the new episode. One Piece creators are quite serious about surprising the fans with the new episode, and they have strictly asked the leakers to not leak any images or videos for the upcoming installment, or else their accounts would be reported straight away.

We can easily expect the new episode to solely focus on Luffy, as Joy Boy and every character from the series ask for an explanation about what just happened. With all other battles over, there's no reason to shift the stoplight from Luffy, and we can finally hope for his battle with Kaido to continue. But this time, Kaido's defeat at the hands of awakened Luffy is certain.

One Piece episode 1071 release schedule

The Gear Fourth form of Luffy vanished as he collapsed to the ground after absorbing a powerful blow from Kaido. Kaido turned his frustration at this unfair advantage against Guernica, who had intervened in the battle. Unfazed, Guernica took Kaido's fury upon himself, knocking him down. Kaido changed into his dragon form and returned to the Live Floor to declare his victory over Luffy. He then demanded the alliance's complete submission while announcing the changes to be done to Onigashima under his rule.

Onigashima was to be moved to the Flower Capital as part of this evil scheme, and the remaining Wano Country residents would be forced to work as slaves. The news of Luffy's alleged death was a terrible blow, but the remaining crew still stood straight, not giving up against Kaido. They continued to struggle against the Beasts Pirates, and Momonosuke found the strength to carry on despite his own discouragement when he noticed Luffy's voice fading after a while. Mononosuke continued to lead the island away from the capital's grasp.

The miraculous turn of events took place as Luffy's heartbeat suddenly returned, and his body underwent a mysterious change. Zunesha simultaneously compared Luffy's revived heartbeat to the thunderous Drums of Liberation, a fortunate indication that Joy Boy had returned again.
