As you begin your journey through the Topclouded Towerthrust Trailblaze Missions in Honkai Star Rail, you'll eventually find yourself in a heated battle with the new boss, Phantylia the Undying.
Though Phantylia might seem quite intimidating at first, if you utilize the right team and strategies, this boss battle should be a walk in the park. Here's everything you need to know to defeat the newcomer boss.
Where To Find Phantylia The Undying
Before you'll be able to take on Phantylia the Undying, you will need to complete all the Topclouded Towerthrust Trailblaze Missions. In particular, the last mission, 'A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant', will have a boss battle with Phantylia at the end, which will then allow you to go back and battle her for rewards, including the Regret of Infinite Ochema Trace Material.
When you've finished up all of these missions, head to The Xianzhou Luofu map, and choose the 'Scalegorge Waterscape'. This was the last area you should have visited in the 'A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant' mission. On the western side of this map, past the Palace Ruin Depths Space Anchor, you'll find the Echo of War: Divine Seed challenge. This is where you'll be able to take on Phantylia the Undying again.
How To Defeat Phantylia The Undying
When taking on Phantylia, most of what you will need to do is know her type weaknesses, and the abilities she possesses. She is weak to Wind, Imaginary, and Lightning-types. Having these in your team will make the battle ten times easier for you.
She also possesses Frozen RES and Entanglement RES, which means any Ice characters won't be able to apply the Frozen effect to her, and Quantum characters won't be able to apply the Entanglement effect to her. If you avoid these types altogether in your team, then you won't have to worry about these abilities.
All of her attacks will deal Wind DMG, and she can also summon Abundance Lotuses. These will remove Skill Points from your team, so you'll want to keep this in mind as you use your Skill attacks. You'll want to choose one character in your team, usually the Main DPS, to be the main user of Skill Points, so you can save them efficiently. Choosing another character to use their Normal Attack only will allow you to consistently keep Skill Points available for your Main DPS as well.
In the second and final phases, Phantylia will be able to apply debuffs to your team. This means you'll also want to consider having someone on your team to get rid of these debuffs and keep your characters as strong as possible. This debuff will prevent some of your team members from being able to heal their HP, so its crucial you have someone to dispel these. With all of this in mind, here is the best team to employ with a few alternative characters available.
