The Depths is a place that is the opposite of Hyrule. The terrain is the complete opposite in this place and the darkness could make anyone want to steer clear of the area. The truth is, The Depths has some of the best places in Hyrule to visit. Here are the best places to see while in The Depths.
10 The Construct Factory
The Construct Factory is an area that you will come across during your hunt for the fifth Sage. During this quest, you learn that Mineru, the final Sage, has constructed a construct that is still in The Depths. This construct will allow her to take a form while helping Link in his fight against Ganon.
What makes this place so special is that it is the place Mineru chose to keep her construct. This means that this area must've been of importance to the Zonai people. It also means that it held significance to her. The area is a massive mine-like structure that is an impressive shape and size. It is directly below the Popla Foothills, near the Spring of Courage.
9 The Cliff Bargainer Statue
Bargainer Statues are new entities introduced in this game. They help Poe, the spirits of those long gone, depart from this world. This job makes these entities extremely interesting and mysterious. In addition to this, they are located directly below prominent Goddess Statues, leaving players to wonder whether the two are related.
What makes this Bargainer Statue stick out is the fact that you can see its entire body. With other Bargainer Statues, you can only see their head. However, this one has its entire body free, showing that these are massive statues that have been mostly covered up. This adds to the mysteriousness of the entities. This one is directly below the Goddess Statue in the Forgotten Temple.
8 The Labyrinths
There are three labyrinths around Hyrule, North Lomei, South Lomei, and Lomei Labyrinth. While these labyrinths were in the last game, their Depths and Sky Island counterparts were not within the game. These giant labyrinths hold secret trials from Rauru, the first king of Hyrule.
What makes these areas special is that they add another layer to the lore surrounding the known labyrinths on the surface level. In this game, Link can obtain the Evil Spirit Armor for completing each of the three labyrinths, making the areas even more enticing.
7 The Coliseums
There are six different Coliseums in The Depths. In these Coliseums, players are forced to face up against mobs of different enemy types depending on which Coliseum they are in. They can be found throughout The Depths below prominent areas and offer Link a chance to hone his skills.
While these Coliseums are important because they give Link amazing rewards, that isn't the only reason they are interesting. What truly makes them interesting is their purpose. Fans have tried to theorize why the Coliseums are there. While the one under the Lost Woods in run by the Yiga Clan, the others don't seem to be run by anyone. This mystery makes them worth checking out.
6 The Akkala House of Bones
This area is an extremely interesting area that is easy to miss in a playthrough. The Akkala House of Bones is an area that seems to be made up of bones of some kind. Inside the center of it lies several skeletal mobs and then a Stalnox.
If you want to find this area, you need to check below Skull Island. What makes this area so interesting is that it makes players stop and think. Why is there a giant area made of bones in The Depths? What could the bones be from? Why are they only in this area? The mystery behind it is interesting. Not only that, but it is a pretty cool area.
5 The Gleeok Den
While many players try to run away from Gleeoks—especially King Gleeoks—this is one you should hunt for. This area is home to a King Gleeok, but it is also home to some interesting architecture. There is a statue in each corner, seemingly depicting different races from Hyrule.
The significance of this place is unknown, but it is an interesting place nonetheless. The fact that there are statues of these races all around indicates that it could be something that was of value to the Zonai. This is located directly below the Coliseum Ruins, which also houses a Gleeok.
4 The Gerudo Underground Cemetery
The Gerudo Underground Cemetery is a Gerudo cemetery that is located in The Depths. Not only is the place swarming with Gibdo (which drop amazing Fusion items), but it is also full of stone slabs that can be moved away revealing chests. This is a great place to farm for some great stuff.
What makes this area so interesting is its lore. This cemetery is directly below the Arbiter's Grounds. While the Arbiter's Grounds isn't much more than sand (unless you go into the jail directly below the sand), this place has a dark history in Twilight Princess. In that game, the area is home to Hyrule's deadliest criminals. This cemetery below it could very well house some horrific criminals.
3 The Dark Skeletons
There are three Dark Skeletons in The Depths, the Hebra Dark Skeleton, the Eldin Dark Skeleton, and the Gerudo Dark Skeleton. These Dark Skeletons are located directly below the Great Skeletons on the surface level and have sparked lots of debates on what—or who—they are.
What makes these skeletons such a great place to visit is that they are massive dragon-like skeletons that players will want to see for themselves. While it's unclear what the Great Skeletons are, fans have theorized that they are the skeletons of different characters from other games in the series. If that is true, what are the Dark Skeletons, and why do they mirror the Great Skeletons?
2 Spring of Resurrection
The Spring of Resurrection is an extremely interesting area. One thing players found out quickly is that when you find a spring on the surface, chances are there is something in The Depths that is causing that spring such as lava.
With the Spring of Resurrection, it is directly below the Shrine of Resurrection. This Shrine obviously has healing powers as Link was sent there to heal before the events of Breath of the Wild. However, it isn't known how it has healing powers. This spring also has healing powers, showing where the Shrine gets them. You certainly want to stop here if for no other reason than the view.
1 Blupee Burrow
Blupee Burrow is, by far, the best place to visit in The Depths. It is absolutely gorgeous. It houses a Cherry Blossom Tree, one of only 14 in the game (and the only one in The Depths). This beautiful area is surrounded by Poes and Blupees.
The reason this is such a great place to visit is because it is so different than the rest of The Depths. It makes players wonder how something so beautiful could be hiding somewhere so dark. This area can be found directly below Satori Mountain. You can also find a few Blupees hiding around the area, suggesting that maybe there are more to be found.
